Rimmel london 3 in 1 blendable powder blush in 008 spring flower Review, swatch and overall verdict

I am always in a hunt for good blushes as a perfect blush shade can instantly provide you a  flushed look. It’s always a good idea to pick blushes according to skin tone/type  as   sporting a perfect shade blush can any day  make an individual’s face appear  more radiant and fresh. Pinks and corals are my favorite shades when it comes to blush but as monsoon season is round the corner, a warm toned neutral  blush is what I was searching for,  therefore ended up purchasing  the rimmel lasting finish 3 in 1  powder blush in 008 spring flower  as it appeared quite warm   , but let’s see how it actually turned up

As you all know I always like to begin with packaging, after all I love attractive things and blushes does appear quite cute in makeup stash . The rimmel lasting finish 3 in  1 blush comes in trapezoidal pan with a transparent lid and a brush,  the lid does closes with a click sound but somehow I am not satisfied with the click as the pan is  not sturdy. The blush also comes with a brush applicator which obviously is waste as the bristles are quite rough and nobody would love to swirl  rough brushes  on their face . As the name says 3 in 1, so yes it’s a trio blush which has a combination of  all  brown tones with hints of pink  . Overall the packaging is average for me .

My take on the product:-

Pigmentation/Shade/Texture/staying ability:

I was quite amazed with the multi tonal qualities of this  blush as one gets three different shades and textures in one single pan. I swiped these shades individually and found them a bit chalky. They do have decent amount of  pigmentation  ,  but what  I absolutely admired about this  product is  that all the three shades have different textures like  matte, satin and shimmery and swirling all of them together provides an amazing peach mauve color with hint of shine on the cheeks. The highlight shade in  the middle of blush is not overpowering which is quite good as it leaves much of sheen rather than chunks of shimmer. They blend really well plus the overall finish of all the three shades combined with each other  in spite of being less pigmented is quite forgiving. I liked the peach mauve  shade of the blush as it works well for my skin tone and is universally flattering.

I am blessed with oily  skin, so the blush stayed on me for 3-4 hours which is okay as per the price, however the best thing about this blush is the blend ability   and shade selection but the longevity and pigmentation could have been better.

Overall verdict:-

For the price tag I found that the blush is easy to apply, blends amazingly and leaves my  cheeks with a muted gleam. Disappointing part is the brush which they provide as its rough bristles and size is seriously for no use.

P.S :- Always use all the three shades together to get the right color as individually they are less pigmented

  1. It’s been so long since I last wore blush but it’s definitely back in trend now! I used to use Rimmel ones all the time. Its a shame they’re less pigmented individually because the darker colour is so nice! xx
