Makeup revolution pink lights highlighter , swatch and overall verdict

I am the happiest person on  earth when anyone comments on my makeup by saying  “Gosh! Your highlighter looks on fleek” , yes I am a girl who loves  highlighters. One can never  underestimate the power of a good highlighter, I truly believe that it  gives such  an amazing  touch to the whole makeup. Makeup revolution has done an amazing job by launching their products in India , It’s truly  a blessing for makeup hoarders to get hold of highlighters, bronzers, eye shadow palettes etc  at an affordable price tag. This brand is quite famous for creating   price friendly dupes of high end brands and ever since its availability in  India, it has become my favorite brand. I purchased a vivid baked highlighter from this brand which is available in three shades globally golden lights, peach lights and pink lights, I own the shade pink lights, let’s see how it worked for me…

 

 

 

 

 

Packaging :-

Makeup revolution vivid baked highlighter comes in a  round pan with a flip over transparent lid through which the product is recognizable, the front transparent lid has the name of the brand while the black side of pan has the shade name and ingredients. Overall for me the packaging looks simple nothing fancy but quite sturdy and travel friendly which is a good thing.

My take on the product:-

Pigmentation/ Shade/ Texture/Staying ability :

As soon as I received the shade pink lights I was a little intimated by the shade on the pan as it appeared quite lilac to me and I felt that it  would  leave a strong lilac cast on the  skin as well, but then it’s a highlighter which  appeared forgiving as well.  So I swatched  the shade and was instantly impressed by its strong pigmentation and the best part was that , although it says pink lights in reality it’s a subtle silver  shade with hints of cool toned pale lilac color  which on application is barely visible. It’s one of those shades which would compliment fair to medium skin tone easily.

I am a big fan of highlighters which provides sheen rather than chunks of visible shimmer , and this particular one is somewhat up to my expectations as once applied it provides fine glow on the face without accentuating fine lines and pores. The texture of this highlighter can be described as a combination of muted shimmer and metallic sheen , it does not have excessive shimmer and neither it looks powdery .I do have oily skin as mentioned and this particular highlighter resided on my cheek bones for good 5-6 hours which is pretty good .

Overall verdict:-

Wearing this pretty highlighter over matte pink blush or just individually can definitely outshine you in the crowd. If you are searching for good highlighter at an affordable price tag then do give this a try , they do have other shades available in this range.
