Faces long wear eye pencil – Metal brown review, swatch and overall verdict

Makeup game now days are not only about wearing dramatic black winged liner or smudged liner it has actually changed a lot as people are calling  browns as the new black , the reason is simple as when we wear a brown kohl instead of black it just helps in softening the whole look which is great . I am personally loving the effect of a brown kohl on my  eyes as it just helps to make my eyes pop out more but in a more natural way.  Faces canada  has a range named as long wear eye pencils which includes exciting bright colors from blue , green to black and grey but I picked up the shade -metal brown as it appeared true dark brown color let’s see how it worked ….

Faces long wear eye pencil comes in a pencil type packaging with brown cap, the cap shade is according to the color we choose in this range so it’s quite easy to locate. The sad part is that this kajal does not comes in a retractable pen packaging therefore one needs provide little effort by sharpening the kohl after few uses .  Overall the packaging is sleek and travel friendly .

INR 350/- Shades available [solid black, Aqua blue, Black sparkle, forest green, metal brown and grey]

At faces counter and Online at Nykaa and Amazon.

My Take on the product :-

Pigmentation, Shade , Texture and Staying ability :-

Faces long wear eye pencil in metal brown has soft and smooth texture to it therefore on application it does not irritate my eyes . The kajal is quite creamy and super pigmented too as single stroke was enough to achieve the true color  . Metal brown shade is a dark chocolate brown color which can compliment all skin tones universally. I loved the color however it does contain  light shimmer particles in it which once applied gives a pretty  metallic sheen  . The best fact about faces long wear eye pencil would be that its quite creamy so one needs least efforts on application. The kajal claims to be long wearing and smudge proof which is true as it really sets fast and stays without smudging for good amount of time. I did apply this kajal on my lower water line and it dint cause any type of irritation which is great. The only problem which I find in this particular eye pencil is that its extreme soft tip can cause difficulties while sharpening the pencil, it can create wastage of the product so one needs to be careful while sharpening it . Since I loved this shade a lot I have been using it daily in order to achieve  a natural everyday look , its creamy texture glides effortlessly on the eyes therefore it can be used as an eye shadow base as well once smudged ,believe me I have used it as a base and it works great.

Faces long wear eye pencil as the name claims stays smudge proof for  7-8 hours which is great , its one of those kohl’s which once applied sets easily without any efforts and stays intact for good amount of time without any touch ups.

Overall verdict:-

Bored of wearing basic black kajal ?? Then try a brown shade as it would help in make your eyes appear much softer and once smudged can give a natural brown Smokey look with less efforts . Faces long wear eye pencil in metal brown is a great long wearing kajal as its creamy, pigmented and waterproof as well. It does not budge or irritate your eyes and has great longevity as well. I have been using metal brown kohl as my everyday shade and totally loving it.
