Packaging:-

The ultra matte liquid lipstick comes in a slim white box with brand name written along with shade name in bottom. The liquid lipstick comes in a transparent tube with silver cap, the tip of the applicator has a slant which makes it perfect for lining and filling the lips. Overall the packaging gives high end feels as its pretty sturdy and travel friendly too.

My take on the product:-

Pigmentation, shade, texture and staying power:-

Liquid lipsticks are the trend these days as their powerful pigmentation is making every person fall in love with it. I personally love liquid lippies but I also feel they are little drying and not that comfortable to wear unlike a traditional bullet lipsticks . Since the brand colourpop has already made an amazing impression in my heart I expected quite a lot from their liquid lipsticks  . Coming to the shades which I own,

  • Mars:-

This Shade can be described as a hot pink color with red undertones . Its one of those pinks which can brighten up any look instantly .   Any skin tone can rock this shade , I can call this color as the dupe of MAC all fired up .

  • Solow:-

This is my absolute favorite lipshade as the color is stunning. It’s a nude pink everyday shade which looks great when applied. This color can be worn any time at any occasion and will suit fair to medium skin tone easily .

These ultra matte liquid lipstick are super pigmented and opaque . Post  application  they give a pure matte finish . The formula is quite thick , its not extra creamy or mousy   . The texture is drying like any  other liquid lipstick therefore its necessary to wear a lip balm underneath . These liquid lipstick dries within seconds and stays transfer proof for long period of time . I feel like the shade mars is more drying when compared to  solow , also mars flakes off which is big time turn off for me . Solow is what I literally wear daily and has better finish plus formula than brighter ultra matte liquid lipstick like mars.

The colourop ultra matte  liquid lipsticks post application stays on the lips for good 7-8 hours , for me the staying ability and opacity of these lippies wins .

Overall Verdict :

If you are looking for an affordable ,super pigmented and long lasting liquid lipsticks then colourpop has amazing range of shades for everyone however do remember that they are drying  so lip balm  is a must. They take only a second to dry on the lips after application and   gives a total matte finish .I do enjoy using Solow which a nude pink shade rather than mars as the  matte formula of the latter one  is not comfortable when compared to nude one.

Rating :-

Mars—2/5

Solow—4/5
